"The beach has always been one of my most favorite places; the memories I have going there hold a special place in my heart. I always wanted more, though. There was a time where I wasn't in a good place, and I wanted to go out of my comfort zone. I made a rash decision to drive 2 hours to the beach at night by myself. I only had told one person just in case, so it wasn't the safest decision I have ever made, but I would never regret it. I went in early October so it was quite cold but also empty enough to find a small spot for myself. I set up camp and sat there staring at the dark ocean that I couldn't see clearly, which was fine since I found a better view. The stars were so abundant and bright I just laid in the sand and lost my sense of self for a second. It felt like time stopped when all I could focus on was the sound of the ocean and the clear, twinkling sky. But it was quite an exhilarating experience yet so peaceful at the same time. I hope that once this is all over (coronavirus) everyone can experience the same thing too!"
